Interactive Leaders Guide

Resolving Conflict and Promoting a Respectful and Collaborative workplace.

Our Interactive Leaders Guide is a tried and tested micro training tool for leaders in the form of an on-the-job quick reference support, developed for leaders when they are managing concerns in their teams.  Leaders can refer to the Interactive Leaders Guide at a moment’s notice to support them as a conflict within their team arises. The guide is written with the front-line leader in mind. It is very practical and contains 5 short videos to allow leaders to see how pivotal conversations might play out.

The Interactive Leaders Guide is a malleable resource that our clients have applied in varying ways. It is available in hard copy and and as a digital file. It can be placed on your LMS as an ongoing just-in-time reference for leaders to access. It can be pulled apart and used as a platform for lunchtime briefings, whilst the videos can be used for other in-house development sessions.

A number of clients have provided the Interactive Leaders Guide as part of the Respectful Workplace for Leaders face to face session.

Your role as a leader is integral to achieving a respectful and collaborative workplace, characterised by strong communication and effective relationships. Conflict is an inevitable part of working life. It can and should be positive. Leaders have the responsibility to not only respond to an employee who raises a workplace concern or conflict but also to monitor the team to identify if a concern or conflict is sparked before it is raised with you and respond accordingly. Identifying workplace concerns or conflict early and managing them in a timely and effective manner, puts you and your team in the best place to to achieve a respectful and collaborative workplace.

PEEL is passionate about the early intervention of conflict in order to avoid its escalation to destructive stages that could involve bullying.  The key to early intervention is our leaders and ensuring they are skilled to identify and work to assist in the resolution of conflict.  Many times in our mediations, investigations and training we have heard from leaders that they have not assisted the resolution of conflict early because they haven’t known what to do or say. With the interactive guide, you have a resource on-hand that can help leaders understand how to manage conflict effectively before it escalates.
